Metsahallitus manages fishing in the Ruunaa rapids as permit area 7525, running from Paasikoski to below Siikakoski and including Murroojarvi and Kattilajarvi. A rod-fishing permit and the state fisheries management fee are required for most anglers. Wading is prohibited from 1 September to 31 May, and fishing is banned in the Paasikoski to Mutikaisenkari section from 1 September to 30 November. Angling and jigging are not allowed in flowing water but are allowed in still water with a permit. Kattilakoski is a reserved rapid booked for groups. Check the permit terms on Eraluvat for current rules.
